We Need To Put The NDP on the Defence
If we do not organize and train boots on the ground now we will lose!

Dear Friends,

WE HAVE A BIG PROBLEM!

The NDP is very organized more than ever and the unions are the biggest reason for that.

The unions are very organized and are 100% funded by forced union dues.

The Alberta unions have now organized a group where all public unions have joined called the Common Front Solidarity Pact. This group is also taking support and funds from unions in other provinces who literally sent bus loads of people to the ATA rally.

The website at the Alberta Federation of Labour at www.afl.org/campaign/commonfront/ says it all:

"The Common Front is all about seizing this Worker Moment and turning the anger and frustration that working Albertans are feeling into worker action and worker power. With more than 250,000 Alberta workers at the bargaining table or on picket lines this year, the opportunity for coordinated action to build real worker power in our province has never been greater.

"These unions commit to the principle of collective defence and agree that an attack by the Government of Alberta, the Government of Canada, a municipal government, a school board, or a private-sector employer on any partner union is an attack on all partner unions. All partner unions commit to taking decisive action to assist any attacked partner union or group of unions through concerted and coordinated actions. If your union is interested in signing onto the pact, contact us at communications@afl.org or click Learn More and fill out the form".

The Common Front includes the Alberta Federation of Labour, AUPE, ATA, Unifor, United Nurses, Mt. Royal Staff Association, United Steelworkers, Non-Academic Staff Association, Health Sciences Association of Alberta, Confederation of Alberta Faculty Associations, Alberta Colleges and Institutes Faculty Association, Amalgamated Transit Union, Canadian Unions of Public Employees Alberta.

"Mess with one group of unions, they will mess with all of us." Gil McGowan

The Common Front means we can't ever negotiate in good faith ever again with a public union, but it also means that the NDP ground game just got real and we need to get campaigning now or the UCP will lose the next election.

WHAT ARE THE UNIONS DOING?

  • Organizing union actions and strikes including the threat of a General Strike.
  • Promoting falsehoods about Premier Danielle Smith and the United Conservative Party (UCP).
  • Weaponizing the Recall Leglislation and launching recalls in several constituencies.
  • Spending millions in pre-writ spending.
  • Importing out of province resources, support and tactics.

WHAT CAN WE DO?

  • Educating the public on the NDP's weaponizing the Recall legislation.
  • Running constant radio ads exposing the lies of Nenshi, the NDP and exposing Nenshi's voting record as Mayor.
  • Running Social Media ads exposing the lies of Nenshi, the NDP and exposing Nenshi's voting record as Mayor.
  • Doorknocking in tight constituencies against the NDP.
  • Launching Recall campaigns in areas where the NDP can be defeated.
  • Train volunteers to be effective on the ground.
  • Raise money for UCP candidates.
  • Provide boots on the ground for UCP candidates.
  • Reach out to other stakeholder groups such as the Chamber of Commerce, PGIB, Taxpayers Federation, National Citizens Coalition and other organizations.
  • Get involved in upcoming nominations.
  • Ensure policies such as No Fault Insurance are defeated within the UCP. This policy for example will hand the election to the NDP if adopted.
  • Ensure that Albertans are hired to run our campaigns and not people from Ontario as was done last election.
  • Get Right To Work policy adopted by the UCP and then put into law. This legislation protects individual worker freedom and will eliminate forced union dues collected by public unions for political purposes.
  • Elect real conservatives and not progressives to our Constituency Association Boards and Provincial Board. The last thing we need is to become the old top down PC Party.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
  • Join Stop The NDP for ten dollars. If you are at the UCP convention you can do so by visiting our booth or you can do so on-line at www.StopTheNDP.info. We do not have a forced membership and we do not feed at the public trough. We get our funds from people like you. You will receive a monthly newsletter and full voting rights on policy as well as member focused events.
  • Donate to us. We have sponsorship opportunities and you can write your donation off corporately, if you choose to donate through your business. We accept individual donations as well.
  • Volunteer with us by calling 403-720-2143 or by email to YouMatter@StopTheNDP.info. We need help making calls, knocking on doors, and getting signatures
  • Take part in our Province wide survey. Go to our website at www.StopTheNDP.info and tell us your top concerns as an Albertan.

A war is fought on many fronts. It is one thing to support the UCP, but we need grassroots citizen led initiatives such as www.StopTheNDP.info to be successful.

The NDP gets it and their proxies are spending millions to bring in their radical socialist agendas to your schools, councils, hospitals and every aspect of your lives.

It is crucial that we take the organized left seriously and respond in kind. Right now the NDP has the UCP on defence and their coalition is working.

The www.StopTheNDP.info Council is comprised of very effective organizers, experienced campaigners, small business owners, CEO's of Oil & Gas companies and blue collar workers. Our organization is a sincere cross section of Albertans.

We need your support and we need it today! Please Act Now.

Join, donate and take part in our survey.
